-REVIEW UP TODAY-

"Lorenzo Bracaloni a.k.a. Fallen is coming back with a new album released both on cd and a 10" vinyl record. A set of seven new tracks - an endearing collection of somewhat poetic and subtle compositions that can be used as a soundtrack for literally anything- from a background music for your sunny afternoon to a movie soundtrack. As though the word ''ambient'' never came to being - Lorenzo creates a unique stasis of length, taste and taste in compositional manner, introducing himself as a skillful sound art designer but also a very able composer who can combine different elements together e.g. a bit of voice, subtle staccato in second track ''Times are changing'' to make it quite a momentum. In case of Fallen there are a few elements that are always there to keep you going: the balance between experimentalism and classical body of work, a master skill of dosing tension present in Lorenzo's music, a really impressive way of translating melancholy into music and one more important thing - making all those elements work and not overdoing with tracks' length. It's not different from what is presented on this album. Bracaloni cultivates the best traditions of cinematic ambiance, yet showing his great skill and anything that unique and intimate." (review by Hubert Heathertoes, Feltthat Reviews, May 2024, felthatreviews.blogspot.com/2024/05/midnight-poems-for-lost-seasons-and.html)

"Fallen is capable to paint images of extraordinary vividness - Lorenzo Bracaloni already known as The Child Of A Creek, is an old acquaintance of this page that we have learned to appreciate, with his three previous albums, The Floating World, Sonnambuli and Moonlight Romance, with which he has experimented constantly, remaining faithful to an ambient sound. Midnight Poems for Lost Seasons and Cripple Hearts released on March 15th on Icelandic Móatún 7, retains the coherence and the heavenly sound of its predecessor The Floating World. The new album offers itself as a wonderful travel companion in these surreal times. We start with the soft and luminous harmony of Midnight in your Mouth: it's a track with a relaxed atmosphere created by the dreamy melodies of synth patterns, which repeat in slow waves. Moving to the airy Times are Changing with its a sparkling background arpeggiator which, combined with the imposing drone, gives shape to a beautiful dense texture on which the plucked strings of a guitar and the dilated notes of a piano come to intertwine. What Fallen obtains is a highly narrative piece, which appears as an unstoppable flow without the possibility of regression, an insurmountable wall of sound capable of a disarming expressive force. The album reaches its maximum emotional intensity with Your Bright Eyes, My Brightest Sight: a small natural symphony in which the sound of water, glockenspiel and guitars are combined, without ever prevailing over each other but magically coexisting together. Midnight Poems for Lost Seasons and Cripple Hearts ends with Lost Seasons which opens in a crescendo with rarefied drones and slow piano notes who rise hand in hand with the atmospheric drones as the track reaches its climax. Fallen's music has always been deeply and tenderly touching, but here it finds more impressive heights thanks to a consolidated poetic dream language."
